Another affordable CO2 gas blow back 1911 made by KWC, released in 2013.
The 1911 platform is popular and common that its usage is well known and practiced by many players and easy to find holsters for and the pistol is all metal for great weight and feel. This gun is well put together and one of the best made guns from KWC we have seen to date, and all the control latches and such are crisp and secure.
The 17 round magazine feeds 6mm BBs and takes a 12g CO2 capsule for power; the capsule gives the weapon a VERY hard and loud crack when firing, a strong cycle action and clocks 0.2g BBs at 390-400 FPS. Adjustable hop-up gives distance!
The slide catch is functional and locks the slide when the weapon fires empty; the magazine release, trigger, slide safety and grip safety are all properly function just like other replica 1911s and indeed the real thing as well. And the most amazing part is that KWC is able to fit a 12g CO2 powerlet completely inside this single stack grip with NO PROTRUSION in the form of an extended magazine. They were able to maintain the flush magazine base with the grip! That is truly an accomplishment!
KWC is the best beginner and intermediate player brand and they do make damn good products for this end of the cost spectrum. An all metal pistol that cycles very hard, shoots well and handles great is a steal at a fraction of the cost of high end replicas.
For those of you living in countries where green gas is hard to get or is banned (e.g. Sweden and Finland), then this gun is good news since it uses CO2 and won't be a problem! The high compression also means that it works well in cooler temperatures!
Note: This is a brand new blowback design and delivers 400fps with very strong recoil, which is different from older KWC 1911 blowback pistols that deliver 350fps or less.

KWC G17 Custom features a stylish pistol frame that has been known for years before the introduction of the similar pistols that uses polymer body. The rather straight-shaped grip of the typical full-size KWC G17 is of a comfortable and ideal shape, at least for many shooters especially with the raised beaver tail. This is a well-built gas blowback pistol, which is mechanically and physically very solid. Hard-kicking blow back system with CO2 gas is an incredibly pleasant feeling. The trigger design means that accidental discharge is prevented unless you deliberately pull the trigger with your finger. One of major changes it features is a metal slide which allows a stronger recoil from every shot. The hop-up dial can be adjusted once you take apart the slide and turning the silver screw. Disassembly is exactly like the real thing. Pull down on the disassembly lever and move the slide forwards off the frame.
